October 2026 Community Edition: Fall Plumbing Tips & Lehigh Valley Updates
Fall is in full swing across the Lehigh Valley, bringing cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, and a busy calendar of community events.
For homeowners, October is an important time to prepare plumbing systems for the colder months ahead. For facility managers and business owners, it’s an opportunity to address maintenance concerns before they lead to unexpected downtime.
At Agentis Plumbing, we’re helping homeowners and businesses throughout Bethlehem, Allentown, and the surrounding Lehigh Valley stay prepared while continuing to invest in our people and the community we serve.
In this month’s Community Edition, we’re sharing practical fall plumbing tips, a look inside a complex commercial project, workforce development news, and highlights from Team Agentis.
Fall Plumbing Tip: Protect Outdoor Faucets Before Freezing Weather
Don’t Let a Forgotten Hose Come Back to Haunt You
One of the simplest ways to prevent frozen pipes and outdoor faucet damage is to disconnect garden hoses before freezing temperatures arrive.
When a hose remains connected to an outdoor faucet, water can become trapped inside the hose and faucet assembly. As temperatures drop below freezing, that water can expand, potentially damaging the faucet or the plumbing inside your home.
How to Prepare Your Outdoor Faucets for Winter
Start by disconnecting garden hoses, draining any remaining water, and storing them in a protected location.
Next, inspect outdoor faucets for dripping, leaking, or difficulty shutting off. These warning signs may indicate that repairs are needed before winter.
If your home has interior shut-off valves for outdoor faucets, close them and drain the remaining water from the lines according to your plumbing system’s design.
Even frost-free faucets require attention. A connected hose can prevent proper drainage, increasing the risk of freeze-related damage.
Agentis Plumbing Tip: A few minutes of fall preparation can help prevent damaged pipes, water leaks, and unexpected plumbing repairs when winter arrives.
If you notice leaks or other plumbing concerns, it’s best to address them before freezing weather.

Commercial Plumbing Maintenance: Prevent Costly Fall and Winter Emergencies
For Lehigh Valley facility managers, the scariest plumbing problems aren’t seasonal decorations. They’re unexpected sewer backups, leaks, equipment failures, and emergency repairs that interrupt business operations.
Commercial plumbing systems often serve large numbers of people and operate under constant demand. Without proper maintenance, small concerns can develop into more serious problems.
October is an ideal time to review drain and sewer systems, high-use fixtures, water-heating equipment, exposed pipes, and recurring maintenance issues.
Taking a proactive approach can help reduce the likelihood of unexpected disruptions and provide greater control over maintenance planning.
Agentis Plumbing supports commercial facilities throughout Bethlehem, Allentown, and the surrounding region with preventive maintenance, plumbing inspections, drain cleaning, repairs, and more.
The best emergency is the one you prevent.

Commercial Project Spotlight: When a Service Call Becomes Something Bigger
Not every plumbing project begins with a large scope of work.
A recent service call at Lehigh Valley Health Network’s main campus on Cedar Crest developed into an excavation project involving ongoing jetting work.
From investigating the initial plumbing concern to opening the floor and bringing the appropriate equipment and crew onsite, the Agentis commercial team has continued working to keep the project moving.
This project demonstrates the importance of having an experienced commercial plumbing partner who can adapt when the scope of work changes.
Facilities such as healthcare campuses depend on reliable plumbing infrastructure, making professional diagnostics, proper equipment, and coordinated project execution essential.
Agentis Plumbing offers a range of commercial services, including sewer and drain cleaning, excavation, plumbing repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Big job. Right team.
